WELCOME TO QUEEN CREEK 4-H SMALL STOCK


*Project Meetings will normally be Second and Fourth Thursday of the Month at 6:30 p.m. (exceptions due to holidays)

Thursday, December 14, 2017 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.  This will be a project meeting and a small holiday celebration.  Our meeting will be with all animals  (Rabbits, Cavies, Poultry-Chickens, and Pygmy Goats).  More information will be sent out prior to the meeting.

*Heritage Days

November 18, 2017 

4:00 - 7:00 p.m.

We will have a booth there, with a table to exhibit our animals, answer questions and 

share with the public.  This is an RSVP event.  Contact Tracie, by Monday November 6, 2017 8:00 a.m. if you would like to participate.


*Queen Creek Parade (Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree)

December 2, 2017

This is a Community Club/Projects event.  We will meet in Queen Creek at a designated area, walk the parade with or without your animals.

December 10, 2017

You will not bring your animals.  Purely educational.

Experienced members...there is an opportunity for leadership on the County level, if you would like to provide an educational clinic in this clinic.  If you are interested, you need to contact Jennifer Mennetti as soon as you can.

There will be registration, forms will be forwarded/attached  when available.

*28th Annual Colorado River 4-H Small Stock Show

January 13-14, 2018

at the Mohave County Fairgrounds in Kingman, AZ

This will be a complete small stock show, including rabbit, pigeon, poultry and cavy.  ALL 4-H members are invited to participate in breed conformation classes, showmanship classes and judging events with LIVE classes for Sr.'s & Jr.'s and a Quiz Bowl competition.

Round Robin Champions will be awarded in judging and quiz bowl for the Best "All Around" Showman and Quiz Bowl Team.

So come be part of the Biggest, the BEST, the COLORADO RIVER 4-H SMALL STOCK SHOW.

NOTE:  NO PYGMY GOATS FOR THIS SHOW.

March 18, 2018

Bring your animals.  This is a show.  There will be registration, forms will be forwarded/attached when available.

Location:  Maricopa County Extension Office

Time:  9:00 a.m.


*Maricopa County Fair Pen Set-up:

Date:  TBA

Time:  8:00 a.m. - 12 noon (or what's needed)

All members are to help with pen set up that are competing/attending the Maricopa County Fair.

We will meet at the small stock barn.  All kinds of duties.  Sweeping, heavy lifting (moving wooden tables into the barn), setting up cages, zip ties to hold cages to table, bedding etc.  Bring your gloves, hammer, pliers, and water.

Lunch is provided at noon.

And at that time, if you wish, you can stand in line to receive a pen fee reimbursement of $5.00.
