Q: Is there a list of Leaders?
-
Q: How old does my child have to be to join an animal project?
-
Q. Is there a deadline to join 4-H? A. No, there is not a deadline to join 4-H, however there are enrollment
deadlines to compete at the county and state fair, and other competitions.
Some projects also have
proficiency or quality assurance requirements that must be met before
participating at county or state events. Enrollment and other deadlines for
participation at the 2009 Maricopa County Fair have not yet been set;
however it is anticipated that the deadline for competing in large (market)
livestock and horse will be 12-01-2008; and the anticipated date for all
other projects participating at the county fair is 12-31-2008.
-
Q. Once I print off the enrollment papers and complete, then what do I
do? A. Membership forms and enrollment dues can be submitted to any of our
certified leaders. Please print off the calendar from this web-site, it will
show the date/time/location for the 4-H meetings. Determine the first
meeting you will be able to attend. Due to privacy issues, only the
addresses for public locations are printed on the web-site. To obtain the
directions to a residence, please contact the Community Club leader at
leader@queencreek4h.org. She will provide you
with the name/phone number of the leader as well as the directions.
-
Q. I've signed up, but no one has contacted me. What do I do?
A. Just print the calendar from this web-site, and attend the next
meeting for your project. You will be welcomed with open arms!
-
Q. What do I need to do to participate in a 4-H competition? Do I need to
pre-register? A. Pre-registration requirements differ depending on the project and/or
level of competition. For all projects, pre-registration is required to
compete at the County Fair, registration deadlines vary depending on
project. Some projects have "qualifying" competitions to compete
at the advanced levels. For specific information, please contact your
project leader.

-
Q. What residency requirements are there?
A. You must be a resident of Maricopa county to join Queen Creek
4-H. If you reside in Pinal County and are interested in 4-H, go
here.
-
Q. What if I don't live in Queen Creek? A. As long as you live in Maricopa County, you are welcome to join
Queen Creek 4-H.
-
Q: What is Groom Creek? A: Groom Creek Horse Camp is a horse-only campground in Prescott
National Forest. Go here
for details.
-
Q: Where can I find help regarding camping with my horse(s)?
A: We have notes
regarding camping at Groom Creek Horse Camp, which cover the
basics. If you are camping in a dispersed fashion (ie. not in a
campground), then start here but realize that you must carry what is
provided by the campground (e.g. water).
