This project meets from Fall to early summer, ending with the National competition in late June. Youth members will meet once a month, generally on Sunday afternoons. They will learn survival skills such as reading a Compass, and learn archery and air rifle skills. Emphasis is on SAFETY!   Here is the National 4-H Shooting Sports site which is overflowing with super stuff!   Go take look!

As the youth member advances, they will be able to participate in Shot Gun, Muzzle Loader, 3P, and other activities. Additional training sessions may be held on week-day evenings for these advanced members. County competitions will be held throughout the year, for competitors of all levels. State competition (and national qualifying rounds) will be held in May of each year.

Youth members are also encouraged to attend the Community Club meetings held each month.
