This project will focus on helping kids with their computer skills and learning to build websites, starting with this site.  Each member will be able to create and post a personal web page, under the guidance of the Project Leader.    Requisites are that each member must have access to a computer, as the club does not have computer resources to provide.   This can be either a home or school computer.    World Wide Web and email access are not required, but highly desirable.  Members will work on their projects independently with the Project Leader providing ideas, answering questions & then posting the Member's work on the Club web pages.

The National 4-H organization provides a lot of resources for technology in general, including guidelines for web page development.  Members of the computer project need to review the associated guidelines if they are interested in developing web pages to be hosted on this site.   Members and parents also need to pay attention to online safety.

Here are the existing personal web pages for computer project members, and an example page.

Clipart

No website is complete without clipart.   This is the part which most people enjoy - finding (or creating) neat & funny artwork for their website.    We'll adhere strictly to copyright law in how we use clipart not original to our members.

Here are a few of the free clipart sites which can be used,   Their terms of use will be followed.
